Real Madrid and Liverpool sealed their spot in the ucl quarter finals
Real Madrid continues their European dominance as they beat PSG and send them packing out from the Champions League.
PSG came into the game in search of just two goals to see them through to the semi-final. But Real Madrid had other plans as Zidane's men thrust them to the wall.
The first half was goaless as both sides couldn't hit the back of the net after much pressure.
Benzema missed an open chance and Ronaldo's header went over the bar.
At the other end, a selfish play from Mbappe saw him hit the outside of the goal post.
The deadlock was broken at opening minutes of the second half as a brilliant pass from Asencio finds Varquez who made a beautiful cross to Ronaldo as he nods it in.
There was a bit of controversy as PSG'S Verratti was sent off for abusive rants to the face of the referee.
The home side were able to find the net but Real Madrid pulled one back to guarantee their spot in the quarter finals.
PSG were without their star man, Neymar, who was in the sidelines due to a foot injury.
Zinedane Zidane's men have played every game in the champions league, as if it were their last, even though they've been terrible in La liga this season.
With this victory, they've secured a place in the quarter finals.
In other news, Liverpool drew 0-0 with Porto after destroying the Portuguese team 5-0 in the first leg.
Jurgen Klopp's men have sealed a spot in the quarter final stage.
