Cristiano Ronaldo clinched another landmark achievement as they defeated Getafe in La liga.

Cristiano Ronaldo has clinched another landmark achievement in his incredible career as one of the best forward of all time.

The Real Madrid striker scored 301 La liga goals in 286 games for Real Madrid ever since his big money move from Manchester United in 2009.

Madrid defeated Getafe at the Estadio Bernabeu on Saturday which saw them move from 4th to 3rd in the current La liga table as they fight to close the gap on league leaders and arch rivals, Barcelona, and also Athletico Madrid who sit comfortably in the 2nd position with just 5points behind Barcelona.

Two goals in the first half from Bale and Ronaldo, was enough to put the game behind bars.

Though Remy, a getafe player was red carded in the second half, it didn't prevent Madrid from securing a clean sheet as the referee awarded a penalty to Getafe after a foul was commited in the box by a Madrid defender.

Francisco converted from the spot to give the away team a glimmer of hope, but on the 78th minute, Ronaldo hit the net again and it was beyond a possible comback for the away side.

Madrid had pressure on them to get all three points from the game after their lost in a mid-week clash against the Catalan side, 'Espanyol'.
Madrid conceded a painful defeated as the Espanyol team scored in the 93rd minute of play to secure maximum point.

It was the 3rd lose in a role to all the catalan team.
Barcelona, Girona and Espanyol have all defeated the Spainish side this season.

Madrid however, cooled off the pressure with an emphatic win.

Ronaldo second strike in the game, saw him scored his 301 La liga goals.

This win is a big boost on the players morale as they prepare for their second clash against PSG in the champions league.

PSG will be without their star man, Neymar, because of a foot injury.

Madrid has a 3 goal advantage over the French side in the first leg, with two goals from Ronaldo and a strike from Marcelo helped them secure a 3-1 win.

Real Madrid are currently 3rd on the table, though winning the League is definitely out of sight for them as Barcelona who hasn't lost a game in La liga this season and lost only one in all competition, seems not to be slowing down.

Real Madrid will try to dominate the UCL this season, as that is the only league where they might secure a silverware this season.

They were dumped out of the Copa dey rey by Leganes and La liga is definitely out of their reach, Zinedane's men can only fight for UCL glory.
