This is the story of a young man, Mamoudou Gassama from Mali who migrated to France in search for greener pastures and better standard of living.

And while he was in his apartment in France, a little baby was dangling at the fourth floor of the four storey building and no one except the young man could reach to the child who was about to land from the fourth floor all the way down to the first floor.

The young man was alerted by the child whose continues screaming drew the attention of the neighbours.

The young man rushed out of his apartment in a mission to save the child as he climbs from the second floor to the fourth floor where the child was and saved him from landing.

Many people wondered how the young man could pull such a tremendous stunt, but I guess when it’s your turn to shine everything will look easy.

The President of France, on hearing the news, invited the young man to the Presidential house.

He commended the young man’s bravery on the techniques he used in saving the child’s life.

The young President then grant the young man with a job as a Fire Fighter in France and also gave him an automatic green card to be a citizen of the country without the due processes.

The news of the brave young man was heard in Mali and guessed what, the President of Mali invited the young man to the Presidential House, as he insist that he wants to meet this young man in person.
The young man gladly accepted the invite and travelled back to Mali to see the President.

While with the President in Mali, the President commended the young man’s bravery in saving the little child’s life.
While commending the young man, the President was trying to convince him to come back to Mali and he will be giving a position in the military.

The young man, Mamoudou Gassama, rejected the offer made by the Malian President to me made a General in the Malian army. He returned to France as a citizen and resumed duty with the Fire Department in France.

Shocker!!!! - Arsene Wenger listed as one of the candidate to replace Zidane at Real Madrid after his shocking departure this morning.

Zinedine Zidane took a surprising decision today as he steps down as the head coach of Real Madrid. 

The French man broke the news of his resignation in an unscheduled press conference held at the club. Real M adrid president, Fiorentino Perez was taken by surprise at the decision made by zidane.

The reason why he decided to make this shock move could only be assumed, although he said that the club needs a new voice and new ideas after almost three years of his service.

Zidane took Madrid to three straight Champions League final and won everything. 

He also cited that the need for a new challenge with another team contributed to his decision to leave the Spanish giants.

“Winning the LaLiga title last is one of the best feeling for me as a coach,” he said.

“After three years with the team, it’s difficult for me to continue coaching, even more so after winning three Champions Leagues.

“I can really be sure if we would win it again.”

The announcement of Zidane departure brings an end to one of the finest coaches in the history of the Spanish club, the record he has set will be hard for any other team to break but the former Real Madrid midfielder promise that he will remain close to the club even after his departure.

“It’s a difficult decision for me and I could hardly express this decision to the club.” He said.

“However, it’s not a sad day for me to be sincere, it’s just a case of I’ll see you later.

“I will always remain loyal to this club for everything they have done for me, I have many friends here and my relationship with them won’t change.”

          

When asked if it was the crisis surrounding the club and other players that forced him to make his departure so sudden, the French genius discarded the opinion.

“No not at all, that has nothing to do with my decision to leave,” he assured journalist.

“I had the trust and respect of all the players, which was fundamental in achieving our goals and objective.

“These players have nothing to do with my decision, it’s my decision and it was well thought out.”

The club president, Fiorentino Perez now has the unenviable task of replacing Zidane. Perez admitted that the news of Zidane’s departure took him by surprise.

“I wasn’t ready for that news, I’m heard it same time you heard it.

“I want to thank Zizou for his dediction to the job, his loyalty and passion won us a lot of trophy.

"He is an example for everyone to emulate, I hope that this doesn’t serve as a farewell, I want him to return back to this club someday.”

Though very few coaches are free from duty, Arsenal’s former head coach, Arsene Wenger is the most favorite to replace Zidane in the club.

The French man was lined up to replace Carlo Ancelotti before Zidane was appointed in 2015.

Nigeria’s music is without any atom of doubt, definitely on a highway to world recognition and we have to applaud our artist and producers for putting Nigeria’s music on the world map. Whether it is an original content, a feature or a make over, Nigerian artist are definitely killing it worldwide.

This talents in the Nigeria music industry have placed it’s music at the very top in the continent and international artist like Alicia Keys, Rihanna, Nicki minaj and other music icon have attested to the fact that Nigeria music talents are hard to come by. The latest to attest to that fact is American rapper, businessman and owner of Revolt Tv, Puff Daddy, professionally known as P Diddy.

The rapper who currently sits on the number two (NO.2) position as the richest musician in the world just behind fellow rapper Shawn Carter, professionally known as Jay-Z, was full of praise for Nigerian rapper, Falz. Falz did a cover or something like a remix for “This is America” and he changed the title to “This is Nigeria”.

The music, "This is America" was done by popular American rapper Childish Gambino. The video of the song went viral and since its release, other artist and content creators made a parody of the video, and Falz was among those who did a cover of the video.

Childish Gambino did the song as he reflects on some of the issues affecting America. In the video the rapper talked about gun violence among school kids because recently in the country, lot of school kids have lost their lives due to gun violence and other nuisance attacks on innocent citizens in the country.

The video top the charts for weeks and its currently still on the top three latest trending video in America right now.

Knowing fully well the power of the message the music portrays, Nigerian rapper Falzthebahdguy, did a cover of the music video as he also talked about the many societal challenges facing the country.
Falz released the video cover in the late hours of Friday.

Ever since the video dropped, it has received widespread acclaim and also some people criticizes the concept mostly because it wasn’t original even though the rapper was passing a vital message.

As the video continue to go viral, it caught the attention of the superstar rapper who commend Falz for his effort on the song. He posted a short video clip from the one Falz did and he captioned it “Nigeria LETS GO!”

On the song, Falz addressed the recent societal issues that has taken its toll in the Country for the past few months.

On the song, Falz raps about the recent atrocities committed by the Fulani herdsmen in the country, drug abuse and codeine epidemic among Nigerian youth, the anti-robbery squad (SARS), internet fraud locally recognized as ‘yahoo boys’ and the abduction of innocent school girls in Dapchi, Northern Nigeria.

These issues have been a pin in the flesh for a lot of Nigerian youth who have been wrongly accused, arrested and beaten by the anti-robbery squad (SARS) and other issues like the herdsmen killings in the country.

Wizkid shuts down the 02 Arena for his show. (see details)

Nigeria’s superstar musician icon, Ayo Balogun professionally known as Wizkid, shuts down the 02 Arena over the weekend or his “Afro Republik” music concert. The superstar musician raised the roof with his performances and that of other artist as he performed in the sold concert of over twenty thousand people (20,000) at the 02 Arena on Saturday the 26th of may.

Wizkid, after selling out the Royal Albert Hall in London England  last year, the superstar artist promised after the show that he will sell out the iconic 02 Arena this year, and with just barely seven months later, Wizkid lived up to his word and he sold out the 02 Arena as an estimated twenty thousand fans turned up for his concert on Saturday.

The superstar music icon has definitely inked down history with his record breaking sold out concert on Saturday as he continues to cement his name in the history books of Nigerian pop stars with his performance at the Afro Republik concert on Saturday.

The 02 Arena is located in London England and it was the first time a Nigerian pop artist sold it out days before the show.

The Afro Republik music concert was his first  major international performance this year and concert was preceded by performances from other music acts like Tiwa Savage, Tekno, Maleek Berry, MR Eazi, Yxng Bane who brought Kojo Funds on stage and  Not3s.

Tekno gave the fans a memorable night as he performed some of his hit songs like Pana, Diana, Duro and his hit song which he featured Wizkid, “Mama”. The “Alhaji” as he preferred to be called was not short of great things last night as he  produced an energetic performance to the delight of over twenty thousand people who turned up on the show.

African Diva, Tiwa Savage also gave an electrifying performance as she was brought out by Wizkid. The superstars both perform their hit song “Malo” which was released last year December. The queen diva also performed some of her hit songs like “Over” and other hit jams.

Mr Eazi performed his just released single hit song “London Town”. Mr Eazi performed the wavy jam alongside UK rapper, Giggs as they both produced an electrifying performance to the delight of over twenty thousand fans at the 02 Arena on Saturday.
Maleek Berry also took the stage as he performed some of his hit songs and also his latest single, “For Your Mind”.
Yxng Bane brought out Kojo Funds as they both performed together on stage.
But the night belonged to the star of the concert, Wizkid. The superstar was not short of great things on that night of the show as he brought the fans at the 02 Arena to a stand still.

Wizkid is definitely bound for great things as he has been pulling the crowd in  his shows lately. He also have been given international recognition as he was invited to perform at the American biggest music concert “Coachchella” but couldn’t make it to the concert due to issues with his passport. But Wizkid has bounced back from that disappointment as he produced some hit jams like “Soco” ”Manya” and “Commando”. He also featured international  rappers like Drake, Ty Dollar Sign and other successful rappers in the music industry.

The certainly is an historic night not only for Wizkid but also for the Nigeria Music Industry and also for Africa.

Real Madrid wins their third UEFA Champions League trophy in a row.

REAL Madrid have won the UEFA Champions League for a record third time in a row. The Los Blancos defeated Liverpool in the final that was played in Kiev on Saturday.
The Spanish giants have won the trophy for the third year in a role. It’s been a long time coming as they defeated city rivals, Athletico Madrid in the 2016, they also defeated Juventus last year and this year they defeated Liverpool to make it three in a row.
The much anticipated showdown took place in Kiev and the expectation was high as it promised to be a show piece. Liverpool haven’t won the trophy since their famous comeback against AC Milan in the year 2005. The reds came from behind as they seal the victory that night. Real Madrid haven’t won a recognized trophy at the end of the season and they were looking to right their wrongs on the final of the UEFA Champions League and secure a silverware for the season.

Liverpool haven’t won any trophy this season, they managed to secure the fourth place position and were also hoping they’ll deliver the trophy to their loyal supporters.
The line up for the Jurgen Klopp’s men witnessed no changes as Firmino, Salah and Sadio Mane led the front line attack for the Red’s. Goalkeeper keeper, Klavan stood in goal for the reds, Van Dirk, Lovren, Alexander Arnold and Robertson were in the back four, James Milner, Henderson and Wijnaldum played in the midfield position as Jurgen  Klopp played his favorite 4-3-3 formation
.
There was no change in the starting eleven that defeated Juventus last year in the UEFA Champions league final. Zidane decided to stick to his winning eleven last year as they aim for their third  in a row.
In the line up for the Spanish giants, Navas, Sergio Ramos, Daniel Carvajal, Varane and Marcelo played the final four. Luca Modric, Casemiro and kroos played in midfield while Ronaldo, Isco and Benzema led the attacking line.

The much anticipated showdown was on the way as the referee blew to a start.
Liverpool played like the more experienced side as they knocked the ball around the field and had stots on target. The Red’s pushed forward through the wings and a shot from Sadio Mane was forced wide by the keeper.

Madrid struggled to find their foot in the game as it was Liverpool who took their Gengenpressing type of attacked to the Madrid box.
Ronaldo struggled to control the  ball and make good passes as he was well covered by 18 year old Alexander Arnold.

Liverpool continued their high pressing but Salah couldn’t wrap his foot on the ball to provide a shot at goal as he was been marked by Sergio Ramos whose tackle forced the Liverpool star to land awkwardly with his shoulders on the ground.
Salah indicated that he can’t carry on in the game as it seems to be a dislocated bone in the shoulder. With tears in his eyes and agony in the faces of the fans, their star player was pulled off due to the injury he sustained after that rough and experience tackle by Ramos. He was replaced by Adam Lallana.

After Salah’s injury, Real Madrid took control of the game and started attacking the English side as they knocked the ball around and took a couple of shot before the referee blew for half time.
Both teams head to the dugout as the score was goalless in half time.

The second half began and it was Madrid who continued pressing on. They pressed on and the first goal was scored by Benzema in the 51st minute. The striker bounced on a terrible mistake by Klavan whose wrong pass was capitalized on by Benzema as he watched the ball rolled slowly into the net. Klavan was calling at the referee for an offside but the referee clearly stated that Benzema was not in an offside position.

Liverpool were one goal behind and they were chasing the game as they pressed for an early equalizer. The equalizer came knocking in the 55th minute as Sadio Mane scored as he taps the ball in from a corner kick delivered into the box.

Liverpool's confident was boosted after that equalizer as their dream of lifting the trophy was still in their reach.

Gareth Bale came in for Isco as Madrid continued searching for the goal that will secure their victory. As Gareth Bale came in, the attack became tougher for the Liverpool defense to handle and In the 63rd minute, Gareth Bale scored a beautiful bicycle kick as the Liverpool defense were caught off guard by that blinding shot which made it 2-1.

Liverpool tried to fight back as Sadio Mane's shot hit the bar and other effort by the Red's to make it 2-2 didn't pull through.

Klavan committed another blunder as we approached full time. The keeper turned in a shot by Gareth Bale into his own net and that ended all hopes for Liverpool to get back into the game.

It ended 3-1 in Kiev as Real Madrid secured their third Champions League trophy in a row.

Disaster for Liverpool as their star player injury sold them out and other costly errors from Klavan gave Madrid the edge over them.

Andres Iniesta waves goodbye to his childhood club after 16 years.

FC Barcelona’s legend, Andres Iniesta played his last game for Barcelona after 16 years at the club. 
The legend waved goodbye to his childhood club as he played his 670th and final game for the Spanish giants against Real Sociedad on Sunday at the Camp Nou. 

The player made the announcement In Febuary  that he will leave the club at the end of the season. The Camp Nou crowd organized several pre-match display of support for the legend including the “Infinit Iniesta” message in the stands.

The Real Sociedad players also gave him a “pasillo” which also mean a ( guard of honour ) before the match. Iniesta wore the captain hand band for the last time as he captains Barcelona for the last game of the season and also his last game for the club.

The midfielder have been magical throughout his time in the club. He provided lots of assist and also have some goals to his name including the famous semifinal champions league goal against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
The midfielder have been with club for sixteen years. He came in through the Barcelona junior teams alongside Xavi, Messi, Sergio Busquet, Gerrad Pique, Fabregas and a whole other players who made their to the first team.

Iniesta waved goodbye to Barcelona after a glittering career in which he won 32 trophies since he debuted for the first team in 2002.

The 32 titles he won during his time at the club includes nine league titles, four champions league title, three FIFA World Club Cup and three UEFA Super Cup. 
The midfielder have also shared his glittering career during his time at the club with great players like Ronaldinho, Lionel Messi, Xavi Hernandez, Samuel E’too, Neymar, Deco, Puyol, Eric Abidal, Victor Valdez, Gerrad Pique, Sergio Busquet, Thierry Henry and many other fantastic players who have played in the club.

Iniesta have been the brain of the midfield. He assisted Messi in most occasion and also scored on his own too.
He also have international trophies attached to his name. the midfielder won the world cup with Spain in South Africa in the year 2010. He scored the only goal in the final as Spain defeated the Netherlands 1-0 in full time. 
The goal was the only goal scored in the game and it was assisted by his fellow Barcelona teammate,, Fabregas, Andres Iniesta also won the Euro Cup with Spain.

The midfielder have also played under some great coach in his time at club. He was coached by great coaches like Pep Guardiola, Tito Vilanova, Luis Enrique and other great coaches.

Iniesta came close to winning the FIFA Balon D’or in the year 2012 as he was among the three finalist for the award. The finalist consisted of three Barcelona players which include Lionel Messi, Xavi and Iniesta, but Lionel Messi won the award.

In his last game for Barcelona against Real Sociedad on Sunday, the player thanked the fans for their wonderful support throughout his 16 years in the club. He said that he carries the club in his heart and that the club his home and that leaving the club was a very hard decision for him.

In his words;

“ It has been a very wonderful 16 years in this club, which is the best club in the world. I thank everyone for their support throughout my years in this club, playing for this club and winning a lot of title. It was a very hard decision for me to put an end to this journey that began 16 years ago, I love you all and you will always be in my heart. Visca Barca, Visca Catalunya.”

Those were his last words as he took a bow from the Euopean stage. Only 34 years old, the player said this is the best time to say goodbye to club after 16 years of loyal service to his childhood club.

Iniesta leaves behind a gap that will be impossible to be filled by another player.

The fraudulent activities in Nigeria has indeed reach an all time high even to the extent that it has been a topic in schools abroad as teacher teaches the student on fraudulent countries in the world.

This popularity in the fraudulent activities in the country has done no good to the image of the country and Africa as a whole.
This young Nigerian lady who is currently studying in the United Kingdom, shared the questions they were asked concerning “the advance fee fraud” with Nigeria been among the option which might be the right answer alongside other countries like Spain, Egypt and Russia.

The young lady said she was stunned to find Nigeria among the options given under the question.
Miss Fola Ogunsemo shared a picture of the question she was asked and she said she felt embarrassed seeing the negative and ill remark said concerning her country. She revealed her displeasure on the negative effects of internet fraudsters caused by young Nigerians who engage in duping innocent people of their hard earned money.

She posted screenshots of the examination question sheet in which they were asked which country has the most advance  internet fraudsters.

She took to her Instagram handle to express her disappointment in her country and that she felt ashamed of being a Nigerian as her white friends were asking her how she felt about the question.

“This photo below is a screenshot of my exam paper for a module with the title “Law in a business context” and the question which I circled red was among the questions I was asked today 23rd of May. Words can’t express my disappointment as I stepped out of the exam hall, my friends were asking me how I felt about the number 22 question and for the first time in my life, I wished I was not  Nigerian.”

She went on as she express her disappointment, she added;

“Everybody knows fraud is been committed in every country but for Nigeria to be recognized as one of the country with the highest fraudsters and also been asked in an examination for students studying in the United Kingdom, then it is really bad and unbearable and it has not portrayed Nigeria as a nation with good people. My lecture slide enlightened me on a typical example with specific reference to the popular internet fraudsters, popularly known as the “Yahoo Yahoo boys” story in a green circle, I was curios so I did more research on “Advance-fee scam” hoping that it was exaggerated in my lecture slide, only to find out that the information in lecture slide was true and accurate.

I am displeased and devastated at the moment realizing that there’s been so much said about the “Yahoo boys” on the internet across the world and this is not helping matters at all and the reputation of the country has been ridiculed because of internet fraudsters in the country.”

Nigeria is sitting comfortably in the 3rd position in global internet crimes just behind the United Kingdom and the United State of America according to the chairman of the  Nigerian Communication Commission, Professor Umar Danbatta.

In 2015, N127 billion was the estimated amount of money lost to cyber crime activities in Nigeria.

Davido signs a new artiste to his label.

Davido has signed another artiste today to his record label, “Davido Music World".  The talented superstar broke the news on his Instagram handle in the late hours of yesterday.
The newly signed artiste goes by the name “Idowest” is the latest artist to be signed into the record label.

Not a lot can be said of the artiste just yet but we can be rest assured that to be on Davido’s team, one has to be musically talented. Davido without any doubt, has a high taste for music and he has been doing great music lately and apart from him, other members of his label have also been topping the chart in the Nigerian music industry.

His most successful artiste is the “Mama” crooner, Mayorkun. Mayorkun has impress in the eyes of many since he was signed to Davido’s label in 2014.

The artiste won the award for the “Next Rated” artiste at The Headies award two weeks ago. He performed alongside Wizkid in Wizkid’s music concert last year December.

Mayorkun have been successful since he was discovered by Davido and has made a lot of progress in his music career since he came on the spot light four years ago and every other artiste signed under Davido’s label will be looking forward to emulate him.

Davido however, have been on the news lately as he performed in an overflow concert in Suriname, South America. Davido expressed his happiness and that he was shocked and surprised that the people there knows his music as they sang it word for word. Communicating through his Instagram handle, Davido explained that when he got the invitation from the organizers to come and perform in Suriname, he wondered if the people there knew him and that he was scared because he thought none of them would understand his music but to his greatest surprise they sang his song word for word and didn’t even give him the chance to sing.

He admitted that it was an emotional night for him and that he is still in shock. He thanked the people of Suriname for their hospitality.

In celebration of his fame, he signed this new artiste to his record label.
Davido now have more artiste signed under him than any other artist who owned a record label in Nigeria.
The likes of Mayorkun, Perruzi, Dammy Krane, Efe, Djecool and the latest signee Idowest are all signed to Davido’s record label.

Davido said in an interview last year that he hope to bring in more upcoming artiste in the coming years because he appreciates talent and he wants to see young artiste coming into the music industry to proved their worth. He also said that he if at any point an artist feels it’s time to move on and start things his their own, he’ll allow him.

Davido was on the news last month as he surprised his girlfriend “Chioma” with a 45 million naira Porsche on her birthday.

Davido also did a song titled “Assurance” which he dedicated to her. He released the video of the song on the day of her birthday and the video got a staggering “Three Million Views” the first day it was released.
Davido have told his fans not to sleep on him as he will release his album in the coming months.

Arsenal appoints Unai Emery as their new head coach.

Arsenal have announced Unai Emery as the new coach of the club. The club made the official statement yesterday  that former Paris Saint German manager who was also the former coach of Seville will carry on from Arsene Wenger next season.

Arsenal made a late U-Turn after they were rumors that the club will appoint former mid fielder, Mikel Arteta as the head coach. But that will not be the case as the club have signed the former Europa league winner who won the Europa league title three years in a role with Seville .

Arsene Wenger made the announcement that he won’t continue at the club next season after his 21 year stay at the club which made him the longest serving manager in the premier league.

Arsene Wenger won the FA Cup on several occasions and also made history as his Arsenal side went a whole season without a losing a single game. A record that was almost broken by Manchester City this season before they met their downfall to a formidable Liverpool side.

As Arsene Wenger announced his depature from the club, the board has since be searching for a replacement. Former Real Madrid and AC Milan coach, Carlo Ancelotti said that he would be an honour for him to coach Arsenal.

A lot of coaches were scouted for the position of the head coach of the club. The likes of former FC Barcelona coach Luis Enrique, former Dortmund boss Thomas Tuchel, Carlo Ancelotti and Mikel Arteta where at on point rumored to be at the helm of affairs in the coaching role next season.
But none of the coaches listed above made it to Arsenal as the board decides to appoint the former PSG boss as the teams head coach.

Carlo Ancelotti was later signed by Napoli and Thomas Tuchel replaced Unai emery at Paris Saint German, while Mikel Arteta is likely to continue in his assistant coaching role with Pep Guardiola in Manchester City.
Unai Emery emerged as a surprise replacement for the outgoing Arsene Wenger because he was not rumored to be a candidate for the job.

Unai Emery was fired by PSG following his few successful seasons at the club. He won the league cup and also the France cup several times during his stay at the club.
He also made history with Seville before he moved to Paris Saint German.
He qualified Seville for the champions league and he also won the Europa league on three occasions during his time at the club.

There’s a lot of expectation heaped on him as he’s appointed the new head coach of the club. Arsenal finish 6th in the league table and they have been relegated to the Europa league for the first time in years. Unai Emery will be responsible to restore Arsenal back to its glory days and the first objective will be to qualify the team for the champions league and to also deliver the club its first Europa league title in years.
He will also be looking to improve the squads with some major signings when the transfer windows open.

Not many top musicians in Africa have had a sold out show which they’ve organized  across the African border, but Nigeria’s very own Ayo Balogun, professionally known as Wizkid or preferably as he would liked to be call, Starboy is actually making Africa proud as he becomes one of the very few artist to sell out the London 02 arena for his music concert, AFRO REPUBLIK.

Wizkid puts the show together with the main aim of projecting African and Nigeria music to the world and to actually take our culture and values across the borders of the continent so that people can actually understand that Africa has a lot in store.

The music concert title which he named Afro Republik, is fairly related to the times of the great Fela, the Nigerian Afro Pop legend who Wizkid said was a great influence on him and his music. The ideas of the arts and design of the musical concert were not far fetched from the ones Fela did during his years on stage. 

Afro is one of the music style that Fela innovated through his magical ideas and even after his death, his legacy still plays a key roles in the music industry today as the likes of Wizkid still refer to him as the greatest influence that changed and set a new pace for today’s music.
Afro Republik was put together by Wizkid as he continues to expands his horizon throughout the world. Wizkid won’t be performing on the show all by himself as he has invited six other musician from Nigeria to join  him celebrate the success of the Nigerian style. 

Among the six musicians that were invited by Wizkid to perform alongside him in the show is Tiwa Savage. 
The African Rihanna as she is fondly called by her fans, will be bringing on the heat as she performs for the first time in the London 02 arena. The “MALO” crooner will be widely expected by her fans to perform some of her hits songs as she cements her name as one of the greatest female artist in Africa and in Nigeria. 

Apart from Tiwa Savage, Wizkid also invited MR Eazi to perform at the arena with him. Mr Eazi who is currently signed to Wizkid’s Starboy record label, has gained popularity in the music industry with his famous hit song “Legover”. 

The song which Wizkid appeared surprisingly in the video. Mr Eazi is also familiar with the Ghanian people because he schooled their and so, a lot of his fans in Ghana will be in attendance at the 02 arena to watch their superstar perform. 

Tekno was also invited to the concert to perform alongside Wizkid in London.
The “Diana” crooner wouldn’t have been left out of the show by Wizkid because he has been on fire lately in the music industry. He’s gone from writing his own songs to producing his own song and Tekno didn’t slack a bit. He produced Davido’s award winning song “Fall” and also produced his hit song “Pana”. 

Tekno has been much on the rise since last year and he seems not to be slowing down a bit. Tekno did a song with Wizkid “Mama” last year. The song went viral as Tekno co-produced the song with other producers. The music bond between these two is energetic and the fans at the 02 Arena will feel the heat on stage.

The other three music artiste that will be headlining the show are Maleek Berry, Not3s and Yxng Bane. 
Maleek Berry has taken a break from producing and he is establishing himself a bit more in the music industry. He’s released some hit song like “For my mind”, and the song really gave him audience with a lot of people admitting that they never knew he was that good in music but he seems Maleek just 
wanted to take everyone by surprise.

Wizkid didn’t invited any international artist as most fans were expecting that he’ll invite few of the international artist he have worked with but certainly, Wizkid is doing this for the culture. 

The Afro Republik indoor music festival will be hosted by Eddie Kadi and it will be held in the famous London 02 Arena on the 26th of May 2018 which is apparently two days from today.

Athletico Madrid defeated Nigeria in the GOTV cup final.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria yesterday played the current Europa League Champions, Athletico Madrid in the final of the GOTV friendly cup which was played at the God’swill Akpabio stadium in Akwa Ibom.

The Spanish giants were given a very warm welcome as they arrived in Nigeria for the game.

GOTV ambassadors and the Nigeria Football Federation said that the game against the Spanish side came right in time as they hope on developing the national league players and give them more experience. The players who represented Nigeria in the game were players picked from the Nigerian league and few other players from Europe.

The national team head coach, Gernot Rohr was in the stands as his assistant, Saliu Yusuf took charge of the coaching activities in the touchline. Other players of the national team, the likes of Alex Iwobi and Kelechi Iheanacho cheered from the stands as they watch the junior eagles play.
Among the players who featured for the Spanish side are Fernando Torres.

The former Liverpool striker was given a standing ovation as he was jugging on the touch line. Fernando Torres gained his popularity among the Nigerian fans during his spell in the English Premier League as he played for both Chelsea and Liverpool.

He was the star man of the match as the fans applaud him and he returned the favor as he waved to the spectators. Fernando Torres was of course the most popular figure in the pitch but other first team players for the Spanish side were also in action. The likes of Gabi, Kelvin Gameiro, Juanfran and Jan Oblak were part of the team who flew from Spain to represent the Spanish side in the GOTV cup.

Antoine Griezmann was missing from the team as he traveled with France in preparation of the world cup.

Diego Simone was in the touch line as he always do. The coach dished out instructions to his side as they contend with the home team.

MATCH SUMMARY.

Diego Simone fielded some youngsters in his starting eleven, actually giving them to shine as the likes of Fernando Torres and Gabi started from the bench. Among the superstars in the Athletico Madrid’s starting eleven were the first choice goalkeeper, Jan Oblak, Juanfran, Correa, Kelvin Gamiero and vitolo.

In the Nigerian side, former Nigeria under 17 winner and Manchester City youth player, Kelechi Nwakali played the full 90 minutes alongside his elder brother.

The referee blew his whistle as the game commenced. The Super Eagles took control of the game as they possessed the ball and took the game to the Spanish giants. The Super Eagles tossed the ball around the field as the visitors were approaching the game calmly.
Athletico Madrid’s defender, Montero was the stumbling block as the defender blocked off a shot which was goal bound from a Nigerian striker. The defender made some key interceptions as the Super Eagles tried to capitalize on his inexperience.

The Spanish side continued in their calm approach as they dissolve the attacks by the home side In the early minute of the game.
Montero was given a yellow card by the referee in the 24th minute as he fouled a Super Eagles attacker just outside the 18-yard box.
As the Super Eagles continued to press for the opener, the Madrid’s side struggled to find their foot on the game as the Super Eagles tossed the ball around them.

Kelechi Nwakali gave the Super Eagles the lead in the 31st minute as he fires In a shot past Jan Oblak right at the edge of the 18-yard box as the Eagles finally scored the first goal after some series of attacks.

The goal boosted the confidence of the Super Eagles as they played with the 1-0 lead in the back of their mind. At this point of the game, after the goal, the Spanish side shared equal possession with the Super Eagles as they hope to find an equalizer before the end of the half time.

The equalizer wasn’t far away as the Athletico Madrid side capitalized on the Super Eagles attack as they launch in a super fast counter attack with a through pass from a defender to Correa and he slots it past the keeper in the 34th minute.

It was leveed and the possession was shared between the teams but it was the home side who missed another opportunity to go ahead in the game as the shot of Chinedu Nwakali was saved the outstanding Jan Oblak.
The first half ended as the Super Eagles side played fantastic and entertaining football and the Spanish side also showing their capabilities with a quick responds to the goal they conceded in the 31st minute.

Both teams head off to their locker rooms as they strategized on the second half. Diego Simone made some changes to his side as Jan Oblak was replaced by the young and promising keeper, Werner. Solano also came in for Juanfran, Vitolo came in for Carro, Jota came in for Moya and finally the one everyone was waiting for, Fernando Torres came in for Montero.

The fans applauded as Fernando Torres played his first game in Nigeria. The Spanish side approach the second half with more intent to win and it worked out fine for them as they pressed forward with he pace of Moreno as Torres played the center striker’s role.
Kelvin Gamiero was replaced by Moreno in the 60th minute as Diego Simone intends on forcing a goal in with the attacking changes he made.
The attacking changes paid off as Fernando puts the visitors in front in the 63rd minute as he nods in nods home from a corner kick. The Super Eagles defense left such a dangerous striker alone in the box and he punished them with a powerful header.

The Super Eagles, after several attacks finally got their equalizer in the 79th minute as Usman dribbles past two defenders as he slots it calmly into the net.
The Spanish giants wasted no time as they got their equalizer in the 85th minute through a blinding shot by Moreno and the lead was restored.

The Super eagles tried a come back but the visitors defended very well and even got a yellow card for a reckless challenge in the 88th minute.

The final whistle was blown and it was the Spanish giants who heads back to Spain ith the GOTV cup as the Super Eagles were defeated 3-2 in full time by a  more experienced side.

Parents drags their 30 year old son to court because he refused to leave the house, even after they promised him money to start his own life.

Have you ever been kicked out of the house by your parents because they are tired of seeing you around them and they also want space to enjoy their marriage? Well if that’s not you, then you are lucky because this 30 year old man was dragged to court by his dad and mum because they feel it was time for him to move on with his life. They are done babysitting him and now he wants them to adultsit him. Maybe he got too comfortable during the babysitting period, now he wants something else.

The 30 year old man paid deaf ears to his parents when he was told to leave the house even when he was given a five months notice to quit the house and also some cash to start up something on his own so he can finds his feet in the outside world. But their 30 year old son got to comfortable in the house and didn’t want to leave his comfort zone.

His reluctancy to leave the house forced his parents to involve the court system in New York. The judge ruled in support of the parents and ordered their son, Michael Rotondo to leave the house and allow his parent enjoy their life in peace after he stayed with them for too long.
The son who wasn’t willing to give in easily contended that he is owed a six months notice.

The 30 year old told the court that;
“ I knew my time was up living with my parents but I think I deserve and I demand a reasonable amount of time to put myself together, and also considering the fact that I was not really prepared financially to stay own my own at the time of the notices,” he told the court.

The parent, Christina and Mark Rotondo of Camilus, took their son to court earlier this month and also filed the evidence of the five months notices they’ve given their son since the first week of February.

The first notice served to their son reads:

“After a lengthy discussion with your mother, we have both decided that you must vacate this house with immediate effect. I and your mother have given you two weeks to pack your things and leave the house. And don’t come back. We will by any means take whatever actions that we can to make sure you leave us.”

One week after this notice, Michael’s parents were advised to seek legal counsel, which they did and they serve their son another notice on the 13th of February, sparing him another 30 days of grace to evacuate the house or else they would enforce the full procedures of the law.

A week after that notice, the parents sent him another notice, this time with a little advice and also gifted their son $1,100 to help him rent a new apartment and get things going for him.

In the notice, the advice was that he:

1) Put the things you need for work and to manage an apartment. You must make sure you arrange the date and time through your dad, because he’ll be the one to set you up with the tenant.

2) put up for sale those things you have that have any significant value, (e.g stereo, games, and any other tools.). especially for those weapons you have. You need more money  and there will be no place for those stuff.

3) There are still available jobs for people like you with almost no work history. So start applying, you have to start looking after yourself on your own without inconveniencing us.

4) If you need assistance on finding a new apartment, your mother will help you through with that.

Even with these polite letters of evacuation, their son paid no attention to the notice that it was time to be a man of his own. According to his dad, they also reminded Michael that the deadline which was March 15, is fast approaching and that he had to leave before the deadline to avoid legal actions be taken against him.

“ as at now we have seen how relaxed and reluctant you’ve been to leave the house since we started sending you the notice. Just so you know, we will take all legal actions necessary to ensure you evacuate the house as demanded.”

The final notice which was served to Michael on the 30th of March stated that he move his broken down vehicle off the house and his parents also promised to help him shoulder the expenses of repairing the vehicle.

But in all their effort to make him leave, he still didn’t want to leave the house and the parents were left with no choice than to file for an ejectment proceeding to make sure he leaves the house.

Michael still been reluctant, asked the court to reject his parents proposals for him to evacuate the house.

Michael revealed that for eight years he “was never expected to support and contribute to the basic expenses in the house, and that he has never been expected to assist with the chores and upkeep of the house premises, and also stated that all these were included in the living agreement.”

But the judge ruled him out and said;

"I think the notice was well served and sufficient enough, giving the fact that it was served five months before the time of grace elapsed.”

Michael represented himself during the hearing on Tuesday and referred to the case of Kosa v. Legg: “that the law requires that a six month notice be served to the tenants or occupant before they are forced to quit the house.”

But the judge, Donald Greenwood, the current New York State Supreme court Judge, ruled him out.

The judge said;

“The eviction stands, the notice you were served are sufficient enough.”
After the court meeting, Michael told reporters that he plans to appeal the case and that he finds the judge ruling “biased.”

Michael went on as he expressed his utmost disappointment in the ruling;

“I feel that I deserve 30 days more because generally the law states that  you get 30 days more after you’re found guilty so you can evacuate the house,” he said. “So I’m still going to push further with that.”

Linda Ikeji announced on a blog post yesterday that she is expecting a baby. She express her joy and said that everything is coming to her as a surprise.

Did you guys comprehend the title of this post? Or should I write again? Oh God this can’t be true, pass me some oxygen I can’t breathe…Lol. Alright, let me calm my nerves down as I say it again. I Linda Ikeji, will be a mum. Somebody please wake me up, this must be some kind of dream, I can’t even control myself.

I found this year that I was pregnant. When I missed my period and I called my doctor and we ran some test and when the result came out, it was positive, I mean I was actually pregnant. My friend cried with happiness but I was just standing on my own starring at the test result like, I hope this is not some joke or something ,I hope you’re not messing me?

I was asking myself like, is this even real or is this just a joke? I refused to believe the result so I asked my friend to make an arrangement with another doctor so we can run another lab test just to be sure. After the second test, the result came out and it was positive again, it was confirmed that I’m pregnant. I was asking myself some very funny  questions like, me, Linda, will bear a child…Lol, who would have thought, please nobody should wake me up from this dream..Lol.

I’m sure by now most people will be asking what’s the big deal in getting pregnant, so many women have had children, some twins and triplet so what’s the big deal in all of this? Lol.  of course there’s no big deal but you see me, I’m something else. There’s something about me that I have never said in public and that’s my love for babies. Seeing them alone gives me joy and makes me always wanted to have one one day.

Their smiles, innocence, tears and laughter is what obsesses me a lot and always made me wished for mine. I think I took this love for children from my dad because he always loved children and always wanted them around him all the time.

I was raised in a compound with a lot of neighbours and this might sound strange to you but as a teenager, I was officially the residents babysitter. You can ask my siblings. I actually carried all the new born babies born and raised in that compound. Their mums would always ask me to look after their babies when they are tired or want to go out, this didn’t go down well with my family…Lol.

The first baby I carried back then was a boy named Makoba, he’ll definitely be a grown up by now. When I first held him in my arms, I didn’t want to let him go, so whenever I was less busy, I’ll rush to their house and play with him. My sister and I use to take turns in the kitchen everyday of the week. So whenever it my turn to cook and I’m babysitting, I’d tell my sisters to cover up for me or they come babysit the child for me. They’ll never choose babysitting so they’ll cover up for me.
My love for kids grew stronger when my siblings started having kids.

Just imagine that in a few month it’ll be my turn to carry my own blood, my own flesh, the one I carried for nine months, it’s in incongruous, I can’t comprehend it.

DJ Khaled isn’t even as obsessed with his son as I will be to my son. He’s not even here yet but I already ordered a Bentley Mulsanne for us.

When I’m alone, I feel him moving around him and I imagine the sound of his laughter in my head, I just get up and smile as I countdown to my delivery. Lol. I really can’t wait for it as I countdown the days till I can finally cradle my own son.

Dear son of many expectation, all my achievement, all my money, all my possession are nothing compare to you. You are my greatest joy and my treasure. I cherish you more than life itself. I can’t wait to meet you and to hold you in my arms and of course to spoil you with love and care till you will be begging me to stop.

I’m certain that I’m going to be the best mum in the world. To hold and cherish you is my purpose on earth and I will always love you till the the end of time.
I would have wished to have children earlier but as my dad will always say, miracles happen when God is ready to share them with you so that the world will see.

I don’t have too many secrets, I’ve always shared my progress in life with you guys over the years and I definitely want to share this joy with you. I wanted to share the news with you guys ever since I confirmed the pregnancy but my family and friends didn’t want it to sound too sudden.

My prayer for everyone out there is for God to grant you the desires of your heart and may all your dreams come true.

God made you to be gay, you have to be happy with yourself - Pope Francis tells a renown gay man. (see details)

Juan Carlos Cruz, who was a victim of sexual abuse, says Pope Francis told him in a private meeting two weeks ago that ”God made him to be gay” and that God is not angry about that and that he has to “be very happy with who he his.”

Juan Carlos Cruz,  has come out to reveal what pontiff told him about his sexuality. Juan Carlos Cruz, who survived clerical sexual abuse has said the leader of the catholic church, Pope Francis told him that God is the creator of gay and he made him to be one and loved him.
The comments by the Pope is without doubt the most surprising comment about homosexuals to be said by the leader of the Roman Catholic church. 

Juan Carlos was victimized as a child by ill-famed Chilean paedophiles priest Fernando Karadima.
Juan Carlos who confided with the Pope two weeks ago concerning the abuse he faced during his childhood days, said questions of his sexuality were asked by some of the Latin American country’s bishops who were looking for means to shew him as they propelled him to speak on his abuse.

It’s been a rule in the Roman Catholic that the Vatican does not speak on the Pope’s private comments, and that he must not accept to confirm or deny the remarks to any news outlet.
“The Pope told me, Juan Carlos, because you are gay does not matter. God made you like this and loves you like this. You have to be happy about yourself,” Carlos told Spanish newspaper El Pais.

This however, is not the first comment made by the Roman Catholic leader concerning homosexuality.
In 2013, the Pope made some comments concerning  gay priests and his comments spread throughout the Roman Catholic Church.

The pope said, “If someone is gay and he his a christain and he does good things, who am I to judge them?” Pope Francis speaking in an interview.
The leader of the Roman Catholic Church again said in an interview later that year that “God does not reject or condemn homosexuals.”

Fernando Karadima who abused Juan Carlos now 87 years of age, was found guilty of the charges laid on him in 2011 and was sentenced to one year of “intercession and pentinence.”
Carlos continued as he added that the  Pope condemned what Karadima did to him as ”Nonsense” and “inhumane.”

“He paid attention to my ordeal with great interest like a father listening to his son. We spoke on many topics surrounding the Roman Catholic church and I can say we are heading for better days even though it may seem impossible.”

These recent comments made by the Catholic leader has been interpreted by listeners that the pope is embracing homosexuality as an acceptable sexuality designed by God to the Roman Catholics.

With his remarks on the subject, it is obvious that the Pope does not see homosexuals and lesbians as people who are living out of God’s commandment as other faction of the church may argue.

The Pope’s remarks on homosexuality comes right in time as several top profile clergy men have wanted to publicly air their view on homosexuals that they are loved by God despite them being shunned, estrange and alienated from the church.

While these comments from the Pope might have sound as a welcome development to the LGBT community who have been seeking to justify their sexuality in the Roman Catholic church after several rejection and ostracism, notable observers have however warned that the comments made by the pope on homosexuality does not necessarily represent a shift from the church doctrines and teaching as the church never gave any concrete reasons on why gay individuals are justified.

Chelsea emerge victorious against Manchester United in the FA Cup final.

Chelsea Football Club ended the season on a high as they finally secured their first silverware of the season. The blues who were looking for some sought of redemption to crown their effort all season finally got something to cheer about as the players head into the 2018 World cup to represent their countries.

The Londoners locked horn with the Red Devil’s yesterday as the final winner of the English Fa Cup was decided. Both Manchester United and Chelsea were looking forward for the final game to savor their season as they’re both went trophyless until yesterday’s final game.

Chelsea’s boss, Antonio Conte said in a pre-match conference that the game is very important for both teams and that he already have the experience of facing Jose Mourinho’s team as they have both played against each other this season.
He also added that his men are well prepared for the match and that they will give everything before the blast of the final whistle.

Manchester United coach, Jose Mourinho also said in a pre-match conference that he is looking forward to the game and that he believes his side will fancy their chances of beating the London side in Wembley.


MATCH IN SUMMARY.
Jose Mourinho made some questionable changes to his starting eleven which might have cost them dearly. The Portuguese manager started an unfit Phil Jones ahead of Bailey and Lindelof.
 That was the only changes at the back as both Alexis Sanchez, Lukaku, Pogba and Valencia were all in the starting line up for the game. Antonio Conte started with his first eleven as the likes of N’golo Kante, Azpilicueta, Alonso and Victor Moses all started.

Into the first 45 minute,the possession was shared as both side kept pressing towards both ends of the field in search of the first goal. Manchester United pressed forward as Sanchez keep pushing the ball forward to Lukaku who’s effort was forced wide by the keeper. 
Eden Hazard open the scoring for the Londoners in the 20th minute through a penalty. The Belgian winger slot home from the spot kick to give Antonio Conte’s men the lead in just 20 minutes into the game. Manchester United pressed forward as they threw more bodies to the attack in search of an equalizer but all effort made were futile.

The second 45 minutes began and it was Manchester United who pressed more  in search of an leveler. Jose Mourinho’s men controlled the passing fluently as Chelsea were defending their lead. The red devil’s would have been behind by two goals as Eden Hazard started a ruthless counter with Willian and Marcos Alonso but their effort was punched over the bar.

The blues continued showing their defending prowess as they lurk in the wing hoping for a counter to punish The Red Devil’s. Azpilicueta was a torn in the opposition’s flesh as he bravely defended the attacks made by Jose Mourinho’s men. At the other end, it was Phil Jones who was causing problems for his own side as he made a couple of defending blunder which would have seen Chelsea wrapped the game off in the early minutes of the second half. The defender was responsible for some of defensive errors which would have extended the blues lead in the game.

As the game approaches the final minutes, the Red Devil’s continued to press and commit more men forward in search of a late equalizer but Antonio Conte’s men were up to the task as they mount a defensive wall in the 18 yard box which saw out the game the final whistle was blown. It was Chelsea who secured the trophy after the lead in the first half through Eden Hazard’s penalty in the 20th minute.

Jose Mourinho’s men  lost the only chance of a silverware this season.
After the game, Chelsea’s boss Antonio Conte expressed his joy on how his boys fended off all attacking threat right from the 21st minute of the game. According to the manager, his side the better side in the first half but his opponent were able to dominate the game in the second half. 

Jose Mourinho expressed his utmost dissatisfaction in his side’s lost to Chelsea. The manger however said that it is this kind of game that he’ll like to loose. 
The manager who is known for always blaming everyone except his own self after every defeat, was short of accusation and still refuse to take responsibility for his side’s lost. The manager included an unfit Phil Jones in his starting line up in a final match ahead of an experience and fit Eric Bailey must have plot the defeat with his own hands as Phil Jones fitness problem’s was evident in the game. Mourinho did not  emphasis on his starting eleven after his side lost to a struggling Chelsea even when they are questionable.

Chelsea however wouldn’t be too proud of their achievement as they have fallen short in the league. The blues will play no part in the UEFA Champions League next season as they could only manage to end their campaign in the fifth position with Arsenal sitting comfortably in the sixth position. Both Chelsea and Arsenal were relegated to the Europa league.

Manchester United finished second in the league and they will play a part in next season UEFA Champions league. The FA Cup final win was more of a redemption win for the blues as they have fallen below their normal expectation. 
The London team head into the season break with the FA Cup trophy as a consolation price for one of their worst run of performance in years.

Manchester United have a lot on their plate as the coach, Jose Mourinho just signed a two year deal with the club, binding him with the Red Devils until 2021. The coach has made plan to overhaul some of the players as the likes of Anthony Martial are already on the verge of exiting the club at the end of the season. 

Jose Mourinho and the Manchester United fans will be looking for a better campaign next season as they plan on improving the depth of their current squad by bringing new players to compete in Theatre Of Dreams.
