Google celebrates Nigeria football legend Stephen Keshi birthday with a Doodle.
The former head coach of the super eagles, Nigeria football legend and former captain who led the super eagles to glory at the 2013 AFCON, Stephen Okechukwu Keshi was celebrated by Google today with their Doodle feature.
The Nigerian football legend who passed away two years ago, would have marked his 56th birthday today, but Google celebrated him as one of Africa's most talented and a legend even as he is no more.
Stephen Okechukwu Keshi started fulfilling his dreams and aspirations to become a successful footballer when he started playing for clubs like ACB Lagos and New Nigeria Bank. He later traveled abroad and signed for clubs like Anderlechtin Belgium and RC Strasbourg France.
He is the first Nigeria footballer to win the African Cup of Nations as a player and a coach.
As a captain, Stephen keshi led the 1994 squad to victory and as a manager he also led the super eagles to victory at the 2013 AFCON tournament where the super eagles defeated the burkina babes of Burkina Faso by a lone goal.
