Manchester united battered by a well composed Sevilla in the UCL.
It was a shocking defeat in the UEFA Champions League as Manchester United were battered by Sevilla in Old Trafford on Tuesday night.
Manchester United couldn't secure a place in the quarter finals as they were outplayed and well beaten by the Spanish side.
The first leg ended in a goaless draw, as a well organized Manchester united were able to see off the game.
They came into today's game with the home advantage but that had no effect on the result.
It was a bright start for the home team as Lukaku's shot went over the bar in the 3rd minute.
Other chances were created in the first half but both teams were able to defend properly as the game ended 0-0 in the first half.
Sevilla through passes did alot of damage to the home side defence as they made more complete passes in the game.
Former Stoke City midfielder, Steven N'zonzi, bossed the midfield for the away side as his key passes caused alot of trouble for Mourinho's men.
Sevilla were without any doubt, the better side in the second half.
The deadlock was broken in the 64th minute, as Ben Yedder came off the bench to give the Spainish side a well deserve lead.
Four minutes later, Ben Yedder doubled the lead for Sevilla with a nod.
Lukaku pulled one back for the home side, but all hope of securing a come back was impossible.
Sevilla and Roma have secured their place in the quarter final.
With Manchester united swept away by Sevilla, Liverpool and Manchester City are the only English team left in the UCL. Chelsea are yet to decide their fate, as they visit Barcelona for the return leg.
