40 years old man hangs himself in Enugu.

What would have caused this!!

A man was found dead, hanging on a tree.

Kenneth Ugwuattama, who is 40 years of age, was found dead hanging on a tree. He is believed to have committed suicide by hanging himself.

His body was seen hanging on a tree in his compound on saturday by some members of his family.

Mr. Kenneth hailed fro Iheakpu Obolloafor in udenu Local Government Area of Enugu state,Nigeria.

The community were thrown into a gloomy mood, as the body was discovered hanging on a tree, as nobody could understand why he took his life.

The police spokeperson in Enugu State, Ebere Amaraizu, confirmed that the incident did occured.

He also added that the police have commenenced investigation to know the circumstances surrounding the death of the deceased.

"The body of Kenneth Ugwuattama has been brought down and has been taken to Prince Eze's hospital mortuary at Oboallafor for preservation and an autopsy will be carried out on it", he said.

David Alaba's sister, Rose May, promises to dominate the Nigerian music industry.

Many Nigerians are looking forward to the day Bayern Munich left winger, David Alaba, will represent the Nigeria Super Eagle.

Though it seems impossible for the player to play for the Super Eagles after he switched Nationality to Austria, there is at least a consolation from the family member of the football star.
This is because his kid sister, Rose May Alaba, who is a super talented musician, has her eyes on the Nigerian and global entertainment scene.

Just 23 years of age, Rose May Alaba, who is already a pop star in Austria, where she is based, is currently in Nigeria to familiarise with the culture,the media and stakeholders in the Nigeria entertainment industry.

She showcased her talent at the 2015 Austria Music Awards, she also wrote and performed the theme song of the 2017 Special Olympic World Winter Games in the Central European country.

She spoke briefly on her music expedition in Nigeria, she said, "I am in Nigeria to experience the musical environment and to be more familiar with the African style of music. I was born and raised in Austria, but am very happy and proud to be back home to my roots. I want to work with the producers and songwriters i have been listening to."

"I am here because i want to learn more about the African music and also because i want my music to have that African influence. I try to find and nurture my own sound. I am not where i want to be yet;so, I am dedicated to my work so i can write history in the Nigeria music industry. I really love the African style of music, as it is a big thing," she said.

Her hit song, titled, Can You Feel It, topped the Austrian music charts for many weeks.

She released her first two singles, All of This is You and Love me Right in 2016, Take Your Time is her latest song which she released after Can You Feel it in 2017.

The singer gave credit to herself, that she is proud of her achievements and that she hopes to do more especially her singles and maor performances, she also added that she is not relenting on her oars just yet.

Interestingly, her father, George Alaba,who hails from Ogun State,Nigeria, accompanied her on her trip to Nigeria. George Alaba has been a Dj and a recording artiste too.

Mr. Alaba onced worked  at the Lagos-based tabansi Records.

He is a contemporary of the likes of Chris Okotie, Felix Liberty and Majek Fashek.

In a brief interview, he said, 'I moved from Nigeria to austria in 1984, where i met my beautiful Filipino wife, Gina, mother of David and Rose.

I did some albums and made good impact in the Austrian music industry, though i am retired now. so, all i do now is to support and manage my two children's career especially now that they have become international stars.

Rose May pointed out that her mother is an inspirational figure to her,though her mother may not have waxed ant musical record or part of any major musical production, she is a great singer and a pillar of motivation to her.

Reminiscing her childhood days, she said, "I hear that as a child i loved to play football, and i found a trainer in my brother, David, who had, since childhood, loved playing football, as time went on, it became clear that the talent and passion i had for music was even more compelling.

I have been doing music all my life as young as the i was at the age of 13, i began to write my own songs. But it was three years ago that i started singing professional music."

Her father also added that she sang often at the age of six and seven. "By eight, I enrolled her in a piano school and it really helped her a lot. She added that she took advantage of YouTube to train herself on other areas of music, she studied acting, although she has not been involved in acting that much.

She added that she knows she knows the big names in the country's music industry that she would contend with, but that she's her own competition. And that music is beyond a hobby for her.

She said;
"I am my own competition. Music is beyond a hobby for me, it is life. Moreover, i'm not just a preety face, people will need to listen to what i have to offer so they can understand that i have a lot more to offer."

She also added that sometimes, there is a lot of pressure on an artiste.

In her own words, not everyone is ready to be patient and work genuinely towards success.

She believes that some artiste just come around for the money that is involved. She said, "The social media is also a factor here.

It wants to give you a glimpse of what should be. But you want to entertain people without compromising who you want to be."

Rose May added that she has a list of Nigerian music makers she would want to do music with.

Untalented producer can't work with Davido - Fresh on the beat.

One of Nigeria's most trending music producers in the music industry,Fresh,in a recent interview admited that doing music with one of Nigeria's biggest music star,Davido, is one the best thing that has ever happened to him in his producing career. According to him, lazy producers do not have the will  and passion to work with the popular pop artiste.

Fresh added that it is interesting and intriguing to work with the music star and that he is the kind of artiste that always want to bring out the very best in the producer.

Fresh produced most of Davido's hit jams last year like, FIA, ADA and his latest single Flora my Flawa as well as the DMW collaboration. In a recent interview with vanguard, he spoke extensively on his relationship with Davido.

He also added that it takes patience and a lot of of commitment to work with Davido, but he also has the biggest heart of all the people he has ever worked with.

He says;

For me, working with Davido has been great; as a producer, it requires a lot of energy and hard work. with someone like Davido who gets beat thrown at him from every angle from different music producers who are trying to get his attention, you need patience,pesistence and dilligence.

Working with Davido has actually bring out the best in me as a producer, because he will not like all the beat you make,not because it's not lit but because it has to align with the ideas in his head. Sometimes, Davido calls me at 2a.m and be like "Fresh,can you come over? There is this idea i have", and i have to go to his house.

David is very experienced and is the sweetest and most caring person iv'e worked with. He has an amazing heart too.
People who don't know him can hardly admit to it. He treats everyone as an equal regardless of your social or financial status; He never looks down on anybody.

The music star who is currently on tour in the UK for the second leg of his 30billion concert, has been having a swell in the new year after the release of his first single of the year "Flora my Flawa".

Manchester city continue their perfect start to the season as they defeated Arsenal 3-0 in the Carabo cup to secure their first silverware  of the season.

After ending last season empty-handed, Pep Guardiola has won his first trophy for city and he did it in the most fashionable style against Arsene Wenger.

It was the first time Arsenal and Manchester City will be meeting in a major cup final. Though the Gunners outshined City in the recent feature when both sides met in Wembley, Arsene Wenger and his team were simply outshined on Sunday.

Pep Guardiola's city got off to a bright start as a perfect cross from Bravo was sharply converted by in form striker Sergio Aguero giving them the lead in the 18th minute.

The first half ended in city's favor as they maintained the 1-0 lead, the Cityzens continued to dominate in the second half as City's captain "Vincent Kompany" doubled the lead just before the hour mark.

All hopes of Arsenal to comeback to the game were futile when David Silva made it 3-0 in the 65th minute.

With city dominating the Carabo cup and also going on to win the trophy, a domestic double is on the cards as Manchester City are on course to also win the Premier League title.

With just 10 games left to play in the Premier League this season, City have a massive 13 point lead despite a game at hand compared to their closest rivals.

Manchester City are also one leg in the quarter final of the Champions League after they dismantled Basel in the first leg.

The only hope of winning a silverware for Arsenal is if they can go all the way in the Europa League and win the title.

They have been drawn to face AC Milan in the round of 16 in the Europa league.

The ever unending debate of who's the best footballer in the world right now between lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo is even more stronger than ever.

However, Brazilian football legend, Pele has placed Neymar ahead of Messi and Ronaldo in one key way, in his opinion, he thinks Neymar is the best technical player in the world.

According to him "Neymar has changed the way he plays with the national team," Pele told FIFA's official website.

"At his club side, he was playing as a left sided attacker, while for brazil he plays more centrally, and as a more traditional No. 10. Even though its hard, he has managed to adapt his game".

"If you look around the world of football right now, the best are without a doubt Messi,Ronaldo and Neymar. There are no other superstars. The most important thing is for the national team to be well organised as a family because unlike before, they no longer have three to four top players in each position".

"The same is true for Germany, who were more of a team with collective players. But it was changed as nowadays they're more as a team which has changed their style of play and helped them to be successful in the last world cup".

The Europa league last 16 draw have been concluded and Nigeria and Arsenal winger, Alex Iwobi and his teammates have been drawn to face Italian giants AC Milan.

The Gunners were at the brink of what would have been a shocking exit as they survived a very formidable Ostersunds in the round of 32 on thursday night, as they progressed through on aggregate goals despite loosing at home to the swedish minnows in a 2-1 defeat.

Breaking!! Pastor who killed two women and a unborn child, arrested in River State.

I guess we can all agree that many are called but only a few are chosen.
we keep wondering when will all these evil happening in this country will be thrust to a deep end,because we all need to be on alert and report any suspicious movement.

Yesterday a pastor in Afam,Rivers state was arrested in connection with the killing of three persons - two women and a nine month old female who are all members of his church.

The deputy commissioner of police, Mr Cyril Okoro, disclosed the arrest in Port Harcourt on friday at a press briefing.

Mr Okoro spoke on behalf of the commisioner Zaki Ahmed.

The police reported that the pastor (name undisclosed) murdered the three persons on the 13 of December 2017.

The deceased were identified as Ada Ezeawa, Uluoma Onweagbo and her innocent nine month old baby, Christabel Joseph.

"The self proclaimed pastor in a most bizarre manner gruesomly murdered three of his own members who attends his church, including an unborn child,"Mr Okoro said.

According to Mr Okoro, the pastor had a sexual relationship with 25 year old Onweagbo which resulted into her being pregnant.

On December 11 2017, both victims Ada Ezeawa and Onweagbo along with her baby on her back set out to confront the pastor over the pregnancy as he was unwilling to take responsibilities for it.

According to Mr Okoro, the pastor smartly separated his accusers, he lured Ada Ezeawa to a building that was still under construction while he told Onweagbo to wait for him in his house.

Mr Okoro said while the pastor and Ada Ezeawa were arguing in the uncompleted building, the pastor strangled her as she gasp for breathe till she gave up the ghost.

Few minutes later, the pastor went back to rejoined Onweagbo and left her and her baby on a trycycle (locally known as keke napep) to Afam Roundabout where they took a motorbike to an isolated bush on Igberu Road.

Mr Okoro said that the pastor killed his second member in the isolated bush using the wrapper with which she used to strapped her baby to the back to suffocate her till she could'nt breathe and then she died.

"The baby was equally discovered dead.

"This murder by the suspect is premediated, inhumane and devoid of human sympathy," he said

 He said the suspect manipulated his two victims and the trust they had for him as their pastor.

He also said that an autopsy will be carried out on the three corpses for confirmation of their of the cause of their death.

The deputy commisioner also added that the pastor admitted to commiting the crime after series of interogation and overwhelming evidences, and that he will soon be arrainged in court.

Meanwhile, the suspect has apologised to the families of the victims who he murdered in cold blood, claiming that it was the devil handwork.

In another development, the River State police command on February 20 paraded five other suspects in connection with the murder of Mr.Ihuigwe, PDP chairman in Ogbogoro community.

Rwandan High Court sentened a Nigerian woman to six years in prison for drug trafficking.

A high court judge at the specialized chamber for international crimes in Rwanda, on February 15, sentenced a Nigerian woman to six years in prison for drug trafficking.

The accused was identified as Pricilia Duru. She was arrested at kigali international airport in October 2016 as she was caught trying to smuggle 1.3 kilograms of heroin to Nigeria.

While she was in court during the hearing, she claimed that she wasn't the owner of the bag and that the bag was given to her by a Tanzanian woman who was ignorant of the contents in the bag.

Alice Rulisa who was the presiding judge in the court said that the court had established that Duru entered Rwanda because she had planned that another person will give her the drugs from Tanzania so that she can then transport it to Nigeria.

The Rwandan High Court ruled that the suspect was well aware of the contents in the bag and that she waited for over a month in Rwanda before the bag was brought to her.

The suspect who couldn't hold back her tears during the reading of the verdict, begged for compassion saying that she wasn't aware of the contents in the bag, that if she knew she would have alerted the police at once. She also claimed that she came to Kigali after she was asked by her family friend who is a Doctor in Nigeria to carry for him a bag with a certain medicine called Ephedrine.

She also claimed that she ask him for help because she needed to take care for her children after the death of her husband.

The court ruled that she will pay two million Rwandan francs in fines and she will have to serve six years in Muhanga Prison.

Marry more women so prostitution and adultery among women will reduce - Tanzanian President

The president of Tanzania has appealed to the men in his country to encourage polygamy so as to reduce the rate of prostitution among the Tanzanian women.

Speaking in Dar-es-Salaam, the country's capital this morning, President Magufuli said the number of women in the country is far more than the men, which has forced a lot of unmarried women to commit adultery with other people's husbands. The President said according to a statistics survey carried out recently in the country, out of approximately 70 million Tanzanians, 40 million are women and only 30 million are men.

"I am not forcing you, neither is it a rule in our constitution, I'm just encouraging you to marry two or more wives so that the number of single women will reduce", Magfuli said this in a conference of about 14,000 men who were receiving training in various life skills in the commercial capital.

"Our women are complaining and crying every day due to the lack of men to marry and support them financially, emotionally and economically, hence has increased the number of women who engage in prostitution.

You men should try to work hard and be financially balanced so that you can marry two or more of our women so that prostitution can reduce provided you are able to provide for their basic needs". And as government, we shall give small incentives and financial backing to such men provided you don't engage them in physical combat and domestic violence ", Magfuli said.

In recent years, Tanzania has recorded the highest number of women and young girls in prostitution in East Africa.

Lagos State Fire Service officials saves a man who was at the brink of death after he fell into a deep well

It was a near death situation for a resident of Igando community, Lagos state, as the man was rescued from the claws of death by the Lagos State Fire Service after he fell into the well he was working on.

The Lagos State Fire Service officials identified the victim as Mr Billiaminu Abdulahi, and that he was rescued from the well around the hours of 2:00 pm.

Mr Abdullahi, a local artisan was hired to dig the well and in the course of his work, he tripped and fell into the well and was trapped.

The Public Affairs Officer of the Fire Service, Bola Ajao, spoke on the incident while confirming the rescue operations, stated that residents of Igando community made a distress call to the Fire Service officers at about 2:00pm from the Ikotun Fire Service Station which was swiftly attended to by the officers.

Mr Ajao emphasized that the agency swiftly arrived at the scene to save the victim who was so close to death.

He said that the men were able to save the victim even as it was almost impossible, because the well was very deep and that the victim was also trapped by other materials inside the well.

Speaking briefly to reporters, he said
"Our team, led by SF Taiwo arrived at the scene after we got the call from the residents of Igando, and with the availability of modern equipments and timely intervention of our officials, we were able to rescue the man from the brink of death and it took us nine minute to withdraw him from the well".

The fire service, supported by men of the Nigerian Police were able to save the man and he was rushed to General Hospital, Igando, Lagos Mainland, for medical treatment.

My husband nearly killed me - Nollywood actress Chika Ike.

Nollywood actress, Chika Ike has shared with us the reasons she left her marriage.

Just last month, she announced that her divorce has been finalized.
Since she left her marriage, she's has been receiving series of backlash on social media concerning her divorce. Some people even went as far as accusing her of infidelity and that she was not loyal to her husband, and that she got married to get more money.

A single and happy Chika is definitely living the life to the fullest now.

She gave reasons on why she couldn't continue with the marriage, and that the main reason she left her husband was because he assaults her physically for years.

That her husband, Mr Eberibi domestically abused her several times which led to a miscarriage.

She shared her story:

For the past three months, I've been emotionally unstable, i try to focus my energy on work and to build back my self esteem.

It was almost impossible for me to share this story with you or to talk about this because sometimes, when i think about what happened in the past, its hard for me to believe that u was a victim of domestic violence. I've been through a lot in my life, i faced a lot of challenges and stuff like that but I've tried to avoid this one topic, I've tried so hard to avoid and I've been waiting for the right time but i concluded within myself that there's really no perfect time or I'll be waiting forever because every second that goes by, lives are being lost because of domestic violence.

In my marriage, i was a victim of domestic violence and that alone was the reason i filed for a divorce.

In my childhood days,while i was growing up, i was known as the sweetest kid on the block, before i got married, i have been through some relationships and no man ever laid his hands on me. The first time it happened in my marriage i was shocked because i didn't understand it, i am not the type of woman a man beats but i guess there are no specifications of types of women that men beats.

It just happens like that and no woman deserves been beaten up. Growing up as a young girl i thought it was love or his own way of expressing his emotions, after the physical combats, he pleads,beg and promise that it will never happen again, i gave in, thinking it was love,i made excuses for him and let it die down like it never happened.

Over the years it reoccurs, i started searching for other definitions for it. I realize i was loosing my self pride, self esteem, self worth and i can never forget how i lost my pregnancy because of it.

I almost died in the process then it was clear to me how serious and inhumane it was.

I've heard and read a lot of accusations from people who knew nothing about what i went through, that's why they're actually ignorant because they have no idea not an inkling of what happened. I was 20 years old when i got married. I heard some people say "i married for the money" which i find very funny. My husband was a corporate guy, who had about 9 to 5 jobs in a bank, lives in a rented 2 bedroom apartment at Egbe.

I married for love. I was traditionally wedded, i also did a court wedding and a white wedding. So that proved i really wanted to be married forever. Every single day, i prayed that things change for good, but i knew it was time to call it off during a heated argument he threw a glass jug to my face and i manage to dogged it as i watch it shattered on the wall.

Death was close by so i made a decision to save my life while i can, so i opted for a divorced.

I am not saying this because i want to be pitied, i believe we all are entitled to our opinions. I hope this doesn't discourage anyone from falling in love, because love is a beautiful feeling that i still believe in.

I just want people to be enlighten with my experience and for people to know that domestic violence is real.

APC is not a political party - Governor Nyesom Wike blast the hell out of APC. (see full details)

The governor of River State, Mr Nyesom Wike blast the hell out of APC in his latest statement concerning the 2015 elections.

He said it when he received a letter of nomination as "independent Newspapers Political Icon for the year 2017" yesterday in Port Harcourt, the capital of Rivers State.

According to him "In the true sense of the word, APC is not a political party. It is actually a congregation of people who did not want the Former President Goodluck Jonathan to continue as president for their own personal reasons. The fight against Jonathan was not in the interest of nigerians. They (APC) have realized their mistakes, but they lack the courage to apologize because of their pride. If you move around, you will see that things are bad" Governor Wike said.

He also alleged that APC are planning to rig the governorship elections in Delta, Akwa Ibom and rivers states which are firmly controlled by the People's Democratic Party.

He continued by saying "All the mass registration of new political parties, is a deliberate plan by INEC to manipulate the elections in the three states listed earlier. According to him Rivers State, Awka Ibom and Delta state have been earmarked for the printing of ballot papers where some newly registered political parties will be exempted as a ground for the tribunal to nullify the elections. And that after the nullification of elections by the tribunal as planned, The EFCC will be used by the APC to arrest the three governors so that they won't be around during the repeat elections".

PDP mocks President Buhari on in his visit to Lafia, said he went there to console them for the loss of their cattle.

President Buhari paid a one day visit to the people of Nasarawa.
However the Peoples Democratic Party mocked the President stating that the President came to commiserate with them over the loss of their cattle.

Read full statement below:
 We applaud President Buhari on his one day visit to Lafia the capital city of Nasarawa on the pretense of commissioning specific schools, but to console the people for the killings and loss of cattles of some herders in the area.

It's shocking to us that instead of the President to visit Benue State that was also affected by the herdsmen attack that caused the deaths of innocent Nigerians, he decided to visit Lafia, without remorse for the people of Benue State.

What the president has done is a clear indication that he only cares for some section of the country and not for everybody as he claimed in his inauguration speech.

Lassa fever strikes again, kills a pregnant woman in Cross River

Four suspected cases of Lassa Fever have been confirmed in cross river state, one of the patients who is pregnant was killed by the disease.

The pregnant woman died as a result of the virus at the university of calabar teaching hospital.

The name of the woman was withheld for security reasons but it has been confirmed that she came into calabar from Taraba State.

She was admitted at the Nigerian Navy Hospital along Moore Road Calabar, she was later transferred to the intensive Care Teaching Hospital.

Cross River State Commissioner for health, Inyang Asibong speaking with channels tv, confirmed that the woman had to be transferred to the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital because she was  critically infected before she finally passed on after efforts of the doctors.

She went on to say that, blood samples of the dead woman have been taken for proper diagnosis, stating that efforts will be made to curtail the virus.

YCEE and TINNY Entertainment terminates deal with Sony Music. (Read details)

This saga between Sony music,Ycee and Tinny Entertainment has been on for a while now but we recall that in October 2016, Ycee's record label, Tinny Entertainment signed a deal with Sony Music West Africa, the deal was a music distribution deal that will help to push the artiste music globally,  but the deal has been terminated by Tinny and Ycee because Sony wasn't fulfilling their own part of the deal.

Tinny Entertainment express their displeasure and has come out with an official statement that has called off the license and distribution deal signed between the two parties.

We actually saw this coming because few months Ycee threw shades at Micheal Ugwu,  on twitter who is the official of Sony Music Africa handling the deal. Ycee's tweet accused Sony music of feeding off African artistes, claiming that they have been exploiting him and other African artistes.

On the 3rd of February, Tinny Entertainment posted an official statement on their website concerning the termination of the deal with reasons that Sony deal is not helping their artiste and the brand as earlier agreed.

Here's the statement below:

" We would like to officially state that the contract between Sony and our artiste Ycee has been terminated through our lawyers, Olaniwun Ajayi LP, by a letter dated 5 December 2017. From now onward we are the sole owners of the copyright in any of our music and can exploit our music on every platform.
We have realized that it is best to undertake the distribution of our records by ourselves, as a Record label and that made in Nigeria across board, is the only way to be above board. " As a label, we are pushing out great music this year starting with "Say Bye Bye," "I wish" and our YCEE and Bella Collaboration EP, "Late Night Vibrations." We thank you for your love!.

With this official statement from Tinny Entertainment calling off their deal with Sony Music, Tinny is now in full control of their property which put them pretty much back in the driving seat.

Lady Gaga cancels tour dates due to severe pains.

American music star Lady Gaga posted on twitter that she won't be able to perform on the remaining dates of her Joanne World Tour due to severe pain.

She apologized to her followers on Saturday on her twitter account saying her well being is her priority and that that she plans to recover at home.
She said
" I'm certain that if i can't do this, i am not standing by the words or meaning of my music".

Information posted on the prompter's site, Live Nation said the final 10 dates of the tour including shows in London and Manchester that were to be held next week have been canceled due to the unhealthiness she's experiencing at the moment. The pains has restricted her to perform live on her shows.
She made the decision to cancel the remaining tour dates after medical advises from her doctors. According to the statement:

"Gaga is saddened of her inability to perform for her European fans. She's infected with fibromyalgia, a chronic musculoskeletal disease that causes pain and fatigue, headaches and insomnia.
She's currently working with her medical team so she can be able to perform on stage in no time".

Last September, Lady Gaga postponed the European leg of her tour days after she was hospitalized and had to cancel her performance at the Rock in Rio music festival in Brazil.
" I promise to be back in your city as soon as I'm given the medical green light to continue my tours. I love you forever, Gaga said.

The police has arrested a woman who burned the hands of her friend's daughter with hot oil and also locked her up in a room.

The incident happened in New Pleebo, Maryland County, Liberia.

The woman dipped the child's hands inside a very hot oil because she ate the rice meant for the woman out of hunger.
She also locked the child up in a room for 33 days, she was later found and rescued  with the help of the neighbors who also alerted the police.

According to eyewitnesses and residents in New Pleebo, the lady burned the little girl's hand and feet. The woman isn't the mother of the child, but her friends daughter.

She was arrested by the police and is still under police custody.

Another batch of 465 Nigerians arrives port harcourt from Libya.

The South-south Zonal Coordinator and National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Mr Martins Ejike,  reported yesterday that the fourth batch of 465 Nigerians have returned from Libya and are currently in port Harcourt.

Just as the Presidential Committee on North East Initiative stated that it has commission a free medical intervention in Mubi to aid at least 15,000 internal displaced persons in adamawa state. In an interview with news men when the returnees arrived at port harcourt international airport, Ejike said that the evacuation of Nigerians from Libya has been successful in spite of the various difficulties faced in Libya during the peaceful dialogue for their return.
He said the Federal Government did everything right to ensure that the evacuation of the returnees was successful.

He also said  that he's happy that the last group of the returnees at the camp were all taken back to their various states on the 15th of Jan. He said that the agency would contact the state governors for evacuation of the returnees from the returnee camp in port harcourt. Also the Public Relations Officer of Max Air, Mr Muhammad Dahiru, said: " Actually, we did not have any security issues in Libya. We arrived in Libya at about 7.30 and spent only an hour and 30 minutes before we came back to Nigeria."


He also added that so far, 1,955 returnees had been returned back to Nigeria by Max Air out of 3,138 that was expected to be brought back to Nigeria. "I'm assuring you that we can bring all the returnees back to Nigeria within two days if we are informed by the Libyan Government to come and carry them, " Dahiru said.

The returnees thanked the Government for coming to their aid and also for fulfilling their promises of bringing them back to Nigeria so they can reunite with their family. Most of them described their experience in Libya as a  terrible and horrific one, they plead with Nigerians not to involved in such travels.    
They encourage the Federal Government to continue with the evacuation process so that those Nigerian youths who have been detained in Libya will be released and brought back to Nigeria.

According to the federal reports, about 5,000 Nigerians are trapped in Libya prisons. The Vice chairman of the Presidential Committee on North East Initiative.
