Young Nigerian Boy Stabbed To Death In London.
There's an ongoing murder investigation after a Nigerian teenage boy was stabbed to death in Chislehurst, South east London.
18 years old Oluwadamilola Odeyingbo, was stabbed and died from his injuries on Wednesday, January 10, during a reported fight in Empress Drive just after 9pm the previous evening.
Residents at Empress Drive called the police on Tuesday, 9 January and reported the incident to them. The victim was quickly attended to as he was taken by the London Ambulance Service to a south London Hospital Where he passed away.
A postmortem examination is been conducted.
The police are currently investigating the issue and as part of its efforts to seek justice, an 18 year old boy was arrested on suspicion of murder on the day of the incident.
The police are appealing to the public for useful information that could lead to the arrest of the culprits. Chief inspector Tim Wright said:
"We are aware that the neighbors and passersby witnessed the incident on Tuesday evening. We are ready to speak to all who witnessed the fight and would encourage them to come forward as soon as possible.
A relative posted on twitter that his aunt, the boy's mom left Nigeria to live a better life in the UK.
"My aunt traveled to the UK to get a better life, then some idiots went to stab my cousin to death, i know twitter is a strong place and i know if everyone write about this, someone will come forward to say something, they're people who witnessed my cousin's death" he wrote.
The police are still investigating to arrest those responsible for the killing of the teenager.
