Man stabs his wife with a 3-foot sword, said it was God's instructions.

A Michigan man repeatedly stabbed the mother of his 13-year-old child with a 3-foot sword, telling his son that God made him do it, as reported by the authorities.

The 35 year old woman,  underwent surgery and is in serious condition following the attack on her by her husband on Friday morning in Battle Creek.

The suspect fled right after stabbing her, but the teen son identified him to the cops. He was  later spotted on Friday by deputies near Kalamazoo Michigan and was taken into custody without incident.

Investigators found the sword at the scene, and blood was found all over the apartment.

Blood was found on the man's body. Police said he told his son that God told him to stab his mother, according to the Enquirer.

There were three kids in the home at the time of the incident, but none of them sustained any injury.

The suspect has been jailed and Battle Creek  police officers are still investigating the attack.
