A female member of the Nigerian Youth Service Corps, Igwetu Linda Nkechi, swam in her own pool of blood as she bled to death in a hospital after she was shot many times by the police today in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
According to a friend of the deceased who shared the story on Twitter, Linda Nkechi passed a checkpoint but didn't stop for the police to do their job, so one of the policemen opened fire on the car and a bullet hit her by her side.
She was taken to the hospital but treatment was delayed due to negligence and heartlessness of the doctors and nurses who insisted the the Police and fifty thousand naira be presented before treatment will commence.
She was abandoned to bleed to death because no police report, even when the police were present and the requested amount of money by the hospital was also available.
The sister of the deceased who also shared the story on Twitter revealed that Linda was due to pass out from her one-year NYSC service tomorrow before she met her unfortunate death.
