Liverpool complete's the record signing of 75 million pounds for a defender.

Former champions league and English league winners, liverpool fc, have broken the world record fee for a defender, to sign Southampton defender, "Virgil van vijk" for a world record fee of 75 million pound, the highest amount ever paid for a defender.
The English side, made the announcement on Wednesday, that they've reached an agreement with the defender.
Van vijk was formerly linked with current English champions, Chelsea and mancity, earlier this season, but preferred a move to liverpool instead.

Liverpool defence has been very shaky this season, as a result of their shaky defence, its almost impossible for them not to concede. Hence the need for a world class defender was paramount, if they're to remain in contention for the league title this season, tho mancity seems to be invincible.

Coaches and sport analyst all reacted to the signing of the defender.
