Ajax stunned Real Madrid on Tuesday night to progress into the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
The Dutch side went into the away leg 2-1 down and many didn't expect them to cause Los Blancos any problems.
But goals from Hakim Ziyech, David Neres, Dusan Tadic and Lasse Schone fired Ajax to a 4-1 victory at the Bernabeu, dumping the European Champions out of the tournament.
The result means that for the first time since 2015, someone other than Sergio Ramos will be lifting the famous trophy above his head.

With Madrid crashing out of Europe, results over the last seven days have pretty much ensured that they won't be bringing a single major trophy back to the Bernabeu this year.

Back-to-back defeats to Barcelona ended Real's Copa del Rey run and also sees them now 12 points behind the Blaugrana in La Liga.

In the cup fixture a week ago, it was Luis Suarez who popped up with two goals in a 3-0 win that sent Barca through to the final.
A few days later, the Uruguayan was seen mocking Real's Sergio Reguilon for crying at full-time after a 1-0 Clasico defeat.

His lack of sportsmanship that evening caused a bit of a stir and after Ajax's win, he was at it again. This time, on social media.
Suarez posted a tweet responding to a photo of Ajax players celebrating at the Bernabeu, which according to Marca , translates to "Congratulations, I have always been a fan of Ajax."

The Barca striker spent four years with the Dutch club before moving to Liverpool, so his response isn't all that surprising.
Still, it does feel like he's mocking Real all the same.

This is the moment a girl snuck out of home to meet a boy she had been chatting with on Facebook, not knowing she was walking to her death

Viktorija Sokolova, 14, sneaked out of her home to go and meet the boy in April this year but the next day she was found dead, propped up against a park bench.

New CCTV was shown at a trial of a 16-year-old boy accused of murdering her. It was alleged that the boy hit her so hard that some of her teeth fell out. He then allegedly killed her. Afterwards, prosecutors said the boy had sex with her lifeless corpse.

The jury will today continue to consider its verdict and this is the first time the footage of Viktorija has been released to the public.

The court heard that the 16-year-old suspect had previously been diagnosed with anxiety and depression and had come under the care of Child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS).

At the time of his arrest on April 13, he allegedly told officers:

I know nothing about the murder – I heard about it on the news.

I have known the injured person since last year. The injured person sent me a friend request on Facebook last year which I accepted. We talked occasionally.

Because the injured person started coming to my house at night I got annoyed so broke off with the messaging and haven’t seen her since.

My Facebook was hacked last year.

But it was revealed that the suspect was talking very quietly and mumbling at the custody desk after his arrest. He asked if the police had taken the DNA of the girl. He said she was his friend and he had been framed. 

On April 18, the suspect's home was searched. Police found a black and silver Huawei phone, a rose-gold iPhone, an Adidas jacket and a black man bag. On the rose-gold iPhone, several SMS messages and Facebook messenger calls were found but no Facebook messenger messages. These had been deleted. Records of calls made to Viktorija’s phone had been deleted, as had the history of searches relating to anal sex.

The court had previously heard that the DNA of Saidas Valantinas, Viktorija’s step-father, had been found in her underwear. But her parents angrily dismissed the defence’s notion they had anything to do with Viktorija’s killing on December 6. The next day, the court heard that Mr Valantinas had been at home for the period when Viktorija was killed.

The 16-year-old suspect denies charges of murder, rape and sexually penetrating her body.

Lionel Messi acquires a new private jet. (photos)

Argentinean website Doble Amarilla reports that Lionel Messi has splashed out $15 million on a luxury jet to whizz him and his family between Europe and South America. The jet, which was purchased in the United States but will be registered in Argentina, is a 2004 Gulfstream V and comes with 16 executive seats, two bathrooms (one with a shower) and two kitchens.

Messi has already made some personal modifications to his new ‘wings’: the number 10 has been painted onto the tail; while the name of each member of his family (Leo, Antonella, Thiago, Ciro and Mateo) has been written on to the steps of the boarding stairs.

According to Doble Amarilla, the jet arrived at the Aeroparque de Buenos Aires on Friday; and a hangar will be built in the town of San Fernando to accommodate Messi’s new luxury means of transport.

Three Policemen Beats Up An Okada Rider For Refusing To Give Them 50#

A young man has been assaulted by three police officers earlier today at a checkpoint in Enugu state.

According to a Facebook user, Afam Goodluck who shared the video on social media, the motorcyclist otherwise known as okada rider was on his way to a campaign at Ndeaboh Aninri local government area of the state before he was stopped by some officers at the checkpoint.

He tendered his documents and all his motorcycle papers which were complete as requested by the officers. However, when he was about to leave, the police officers allegedly asked him to give them N50, which he said he didn’t have as he claimed he didn’t have any cash on him.

The officers tried to seize his motorcycle key but he refused. This earned him some beatings from the officers as they threatened him. He later handed the key to them.

Controversial On-Air Personality (OAP), Daddy Freeze has cried out over his poor financial status since he began to preach against payment of tithes in churches.

Freeze writing on his Twitter page said that his campaign against tithe has crumbled his finances and affected his career. According to him, since his ‘Free The Sheeple’ movement began, he had lost businesses, clients and opportunities.

The staunch ‘church’ critic said, ‘‘From my experience with these people who stop at nothing, if you dare speak out against the lies many of them are telling, you are in for a lot.

”They fought me on every realm. I lost every business client, I used to MC a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 5 events monthly and I used to charge more than a million Naira per event. I haven’t MCed in 2 years.

”They went as far as trying to get me sacked from work so I can be without much of a ‘crown’ and ‘frozen’.

”All I do now is teach the Bible from home online and in my weakness, his great strength prevails. My egbon, I pray that the river of truth that is flowing from your mouth NEVER ceases and in the weakness of whatever persecution may come, God’s strength in you will prevail.”
